Tilburg University was established in 1927 and specializes in the Social Sciences. With 5.500 students the Tilburg School of Economics and Management is the largest school of Tilburg University. It employs 550 people, 100 of whom are professors. The Tilburg Sustainability Center is a multidisciplinary institute for collaborative research between economists, legal scientists, sociologists and related disciplines on fundamental and applied problems in relation to sustainability. It was established in 2009. TSC is embedded in CentER (Center for Research in Economics and Business) which provides scientific and administrative support. CentER is an internationally acclaimed research institute at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management in the Netherlands. Established in 1988, CentER has evolved into a broad-based research institute spanning every field of economics and business administration. In addition, CentER offers outstanding graduate programs in economics and business.

He is the professor of Economic Growth and Technology in the Department of Economics of Tilburg University since 2004 and affiliated with TSC since its start. His work is on the interaction between technological change and environmental and resource problems. He will work mainly in WP6 and WP3. |

He is the professor of Environmental Economics at the VU Amsterdam since 2009 and at Tilburg University since 2013; he is affiliated with TSC since its start. He has published on the design of environmental and resource conservation policies, experimental economics, technology adoption and many other environmental issues. He is the editor of Resource and Energy Economics. He will work mainly in WP6 and WP3. |

Prof. dr. Aart de Zeeuw is the scientific director of the Tilburg Sustainability Center (TSC) since the start and he is a professor of Environmental Economics since 1993. In the past he was the president of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, co-editor of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, adviser of the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and director of the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics, Stockholm, Sweden. He has published, for example, on international environmental cooperation and resource economics. He will work mainly in WP6. |
